Under insurance in Australia

Australia is one of the most under insured countries in the developed world.

More than 85% of us couldn’t sufficiently support ourselves or our family in the event of illness or injury, increasing stress or forgoing health requirements when we need it most and this is where insurance can help..

Australian’s attitude towards insurance is one where unfortunately people don’t feel like they need it until they see someone close to them suffers serious financial or emotional hardship.

Why work to build up your assets such as your first home, your first investment property or that money sitting in your account to see it all go away if you were to suffer a serious sickness or injury.

We insure the things that are most important to us such as our car, our house, contents etc.

The most important thing that we forget is ourselves and our ability to earn an income for the rest of our working life.

Statistics show you have a more than 60% chance of being disabled for more than 1 month during your working life, and a 1 in 3 chance of being disabled for more than 3 months.

Ask yourself If you had a machine sitting in your garage generating $60,000-$100,000 a year for the rest of your working life, would you insure it? Then why not insure yourself when this is the same situation.

If you would like to review your existing insurances or receive a complimentary financial health check, please don’t hesitate to contact my office on 02 9188 1547 or call 0434502079.
